The Revenant’ D.P. Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki, A.S.C., A.M.C., is going for his third consecutive cinematography Oscar. Chivo avoids video interviews, but we talk to cinematographers Roger Deakins, John Seale, Matyas Erdely and Mandy Walker, as well as Lubezki’s regular digital colorist, Steven J. Scott, about what’s put Chivo at the top of his field.
