Welcome to the latest installment of the ARRI Newsletter! As always, there are new, interesting projects using our equipment as the tools filmmakers trust to carry out their visions. In this installment, we have a report on the first 416 productions and interviews with a number of cinematographers who have had the opportunity to get their hands on the first ARRIFLEX 416 pre-production cameras in Europe and the US. Three time Oscar nominee Michael Ballhaus, ASC and Oscar winner Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC also share some thoughts on their newest films, respectively The Departed and The Black Dahlia.
