Dick Pope, BSC to GoKinema, Sweden

The Academy Award nominated British cinematographer Dick Pope, BSC will be visiting the annual film event GoKinema, held at Gothenburg Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden on January 23-25.

Pope will be taking part in Open Set, a film shoot in front of a live audience, and will also give a Master Class and a lighting workshop, both moderated by European correspondent for American Cinematographer, Benjamin B. Pope’s Open Set film will be shot on ARRI Alexa XT.

The Swedish Society of Cinematographers, FSF, are hosting a seminar with Jallo Faber, FSF, director Mikael Marcimain and production designer Linda Jansson. They will talk about the collaboration on the film ”Gentlemen” , and the seminar will be moderated by Benjamin B. FSF will also host another seminar, on the topic of how to broaden the dialogue between union, agent and freelancers.

Also taking part is cinematographer Dewald Aukema, SASC who will shoot Open Set on Friday, January 23, using a RED EPIC Dragon.

Exhibitors at GoKinema Expo include RED, Sony, Canon, and Pond5, among others.

GoKinema 2015 is the fifth edition of the event, which started as an initiative to celebrate creativity, the love for storytelling, and ingenuity within the craft of filmmaking. The event is also contributing to the development of the film industry in Gothenburg and West Sweden.
