Cooke Optics har satt samman ett objektivset speciellt för RED-kameran betsående av fyra objektiv. Där ingår ett zoomobjektiv 15-40 mm, T2.0, samt tre objektiv med fasta brännvidder; 50, 75 och 100 mm, T2.0, som de kommer att sälja i ett paket till specialpriset av 97.000:- USD, ca. 620.000:- SEK med dagens låga dollarkurs.

Cooke Optics Introduces “RED Set” of S4/i Lenses for the RED ONE Camera .

Cooke Optics has announced a new Cooke RED Set, a package of four standard Cooke S4/i lenses offering a range of focal lengths from 15mm through 100 mm. The lenses incorporate /i metadata capture technology that can be read directly by the /i contacts of the RED camera lens mount, allow for vfx artist to get ALL the lens information up to 100 times a sec – such as zoom, fstop AND reference that allows dynamic pin cushion – lens curvature correction during a shot ! The set will sell for $97,000. The set includes a 15- 40mm zoom and 3 primes , 50, 75, and a 100mm all T2.0.

The lenses come fully equipped with Cooke’s /i “Intelligent” Technology that enables film and digital cameras to automatically record key lens and camera data for every film frame, which can then be provided digitally to post production teams. The technology streamlines both production and post, saving significant time and costs and eliminating guesswork, whilst enabling greater creative freedom. As RED has built support for Cooke’s /i Technology into the /i contacts of the RED camera lens mount, no additional equipment is needed.

Scheduled delivery of the Cooke RED Set begins in January 2008 from Cooke Optics. Users can reserve the Cooke RED Set now with 10% fully refundable deposit. As a standard lens package, it will work with any camera system.

The Cooke RED Set

The Cooke RED Set is a special package of four S4/i lenses that offers a range of focal lengths from 15 to 100mm. You will be colour coordinated with special red engraved lenses to complement the RED ONE. Each lens is fully equipped with /i “Intelligent” Technology.

The Cooke RED Set includes: a Cooke S4/i 15-40mm, T2.0 CXX Zoom and Cooke S4/i 50mm, 75mm and 100mm, T2.0 Prime Lenses, a protective glass cover for the CXX Zoom lens and a rigid carry case to hold all four lenses.

The RED ONE camera is fully /i compatible and will communicate directly with Cooke S4/i lenses via special contacts in the camera’s lens mount. There is no need for additional equipment.

These lenses are standard, PL-mounted Cooke S4/i lenses that will work with any camera system.
