Hollywood studios working under the DCI specifications are blazing the d-cinema trail. The US is driving both domestic and international markets forward and offering workable models and solutions to the industry at large for digital conversion. Similarly Asia is developing its d-cinema infrastructure apace and is now the second largest region for digital screens behind the US.

European d-cinema is gathering momentum across the continent as the DCI recommendations evolve to fit the territory – but practical, cultural, technical and financial considerations continue to ensure that progress is piecemeal. In this crucial year when negotiations will crystallise into business arrangements for full scale rollout of d-cinema across the UK and Europe, Screen International is delighted to bring you The European Digital Cinema 2006.
