Tonomfånget och upplösning på Arri Alexa vs Red Epic
Jim Jannard, RED:s ägare, har gjort en test som är intressant. Den jämför Arri Alexa med RED Epic när det gäller tonomfång och upplösning. Arri Alexa har ett stegs större tonomfång 14 steg vs 13 för RED Epic. Men när det gäller upplösning så vinner RED Epic med sina 5K vs Arri Alexa som har 2K. Sensorn på RED Epic är 5K, medan Arri Alexa har en 3,5K sensor.

In memory of Nigel Walters BSC
The news of Nigel’s passing was received with great sorrow among his many friends World-wide. Not many people have the same extraordinary ability which Nigel had, to connect and to so warmheartedly make close and lasting friendships with so many people, whatever nationality, language or culture, all around the World.
What was close to his heart was to prepare the ground for cinematographers to work for each other, to aid and support each other, internationally.

The 2025 ICFF Manaki Festival
For each visit to the ”Manaki Brothers” Film Festival, I find I have to dust off new superlatives to describe it. The 46th edition, which took place between the 20th and 26th of September, is no exception. With over 540 guests attending -almost three times the normal amount of participants- it may well be the most ambitious one yet, and Bitola with its mosques, churches and ubiquitous dogs, is as impossibly charming as ever. And there’s a new director in charge.

On Tuesday 16th of September, the intriguing headline ”Motion Meets Emotion with ARRI” attracted an expectant crowd to Camera Nordic’s headquarters on Västmannagatan in Stockholm. Visitors were treated to a unique opportunity to learn more about ARRI’s latest camera ALEXA 35 Xtreme, and invited to see for themselves how impressively it performs when supported by Arris lighting products, in particular the SkyPanel X.
